What is web development?
While there are many options, we prefer to run a LAMP stack and choose so on all new websites, unless specifically asked otherwise. What is a LAMP stack? It’s a group of technologies we use.
Why is this good? Well, for one thing, it’s what most of the largest websites on the internet use. Sites like facebook, wikipedia, youtube, and digg. So you’re in good company. We use this stack for even the smallest websites we do.
This is all free, open-source technology. That means you’ll never have to pay licensing fees of any kind and we’re free to modify absolutely everything needed. Reputable open source software is widely believed to be the most secure, trustworthy software amongst most IT professionals.
What is PHP?
PHP is our #1 specialty. It’s the programming language we use almost all the time. Even our smallest sites are done in PHP, just less of it. It’s the technology that allows us to do just about anything you could imagine a website doing.
Of course, we always write good code. The example to the left is some of our actual code.
Are you a web designer?
We do a lot of work for graphic artists, web designers, and even other web developers. They get clients, do their design, and subcontract us to do the behind the scenes stuff (LAMP stuff, PHP stuff). Webkudu is a web development company. There’s practically nothing we can’t handle. Whether you need server help, database help, programming help, or all of the above, we’ve got you covered.
If you’re looking for a subcontractor or you have a large, highly customized website idea in mind, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact us or request a quote today!
